Don Monjure

Composer, White Stork Cools its Wings and Apparent Close (second part of the film)

Don Monjure attends Herb Heiman's Tai Chi class and plays his piano daily. This is his first film score, although he has been composing music for many years. He has produced two CDs of original music. Message from Arcturus (Muspel Music/ Narada) is synth jazz/new age/space music and has been called a "lost new age and space music classic." Breathing Space (Muspel Music) is an eclectic collection of contemporary classical, avant-garde and new age music. Don has led two jazz groups, Atlantis Jazz Quintet and Slipstream Modern Jazz. "I am a composer who searches for new musical landscapes that reveal the unknown."

Composer, Nocturne #2 (first part of the film)

John Mackay is a jazz composer, pianist, and organist. He studied composition and arranging with various well-known teachers in Toronto and has worked with some of Canada's finest jazz musicians. John now divides his time between the US, Canada and New Zealand, performing, recording, composing and teaching. As an active composer, he has released a number of recordings in the past few years, including jazz, sacred vocal music, and contemporary classical. His most recent piano trio recordings have garnered rave reviews and feature him as both a composer and a fine interpreter of other works. John’s music has won awards in many genres.
